David A. Howell has over 36 years of experience in the nuclear industry for Westinghouse, the last 18 years of which has been at the executive level leading global businesses in the Services, Engineering and Automation areas, with extensive customer relationships in the United States, Europe and Asia. Built on a foundation of professional experience in Mechanical Engineering, Technical Project Management, Six Sigma/Lean, Business Management, and Operations Management.
As President, Americas Region and Chief Growth Officer, Westinghouse Electric Company Mr. Howell is responsible for all commercial activity and customer relationships in the Western Hemisphere as well as global strategy and marketing activities supporting the entire Westinghouse Electric Company. Also he is responsible for all government and international affairs for the company in support of both domestic and international business.
Previously, Mr. Howell was the Senior Vice President, Operating Plants Business, responsible for executive oversight and total delivery of all products and services Westinghouse offers (Outage, Engineering, Automation, Testing, Parts and A/E services) to the nuclear industry globally, with operations in 25 countries around the world with over 2,400 employees, providing instrumentation and control systems and products to both operating plant and new plant customers supporting the Westinghouse AP1000® and KHNP APR1400 new plant designs.
Mr. Howell is a graduate of Geneva College, BS Mechanical Engineering, and is a Registered Professional Engineer.
